# What is Variantify and how does it work?

Variantify is a Shopify app that allows you to display product variants (such as colors or sizes) as **individual product cards** in your store.

Instead of showing a single product with multiple variants, Variantify helps you showcase each variant separately, making it easier for customers to browse and discover your products.



### **What problem does Variantify solve?**


By default, Shopify displays products at the **product level**, not at the variant level.
This can make browsing harder when products have many options.

Variantify solves this by:

* Increasing product visibility
* Improving browsing experience on collection pages
* Helping customers discover available options faster
* Reducing friction before reaching product pages




### **Where can variants be displayed?**


Variantify allows you to display variants as individual products on:

* Collection pages
* Homepage featured collections
* Search results pages


Each location can be configured independently.



### **Does Variantify change my products in Shopify admin?**


No.
Variantify **does not modify** your products, variants, prices, inventory, or data in Shopify admin.

* No products are duplicated
* No variants are altered
* No data is overwritten


Variantify only changes **how products are displayed on the storefront**.

You can safely install or uninstall the app at any time.



### **Do I need to edit my theme or write code?**


No code is required.

Variantify works using Shopify’s native app embed and theme capabilities.

In most cases:

* No theme editing is needed
* No custom code is required

### **Is Variantify compatible with all Shopify themes?**


Variantify works with **most Shopify themes**, including:

* Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes
* Popular themes like Dawn
* Custom themes
