Variantify can display product variants as separate product cards on the Shopify search results page.

This article explains how to enable the feature and how it works depending on your search setup.

How variant display works in search results

Search results behave differently from collection pages and the homepage.

Unlike collections, search results are:

• Generated dynamically
• Often influenced by the theme or search apps

Variantify provides dedicated settings to control how variants are displayed in search results.

Step 1 – Enable variant display for search results

1. Go to Variantify → Homepage & Search Display
2. Find the section Search page display settings
3. Enable Variant display
4. Choose one or multiple options to split your products
5. Select a title format
6. Click Save changes.

This activates variant splitting on the search results page.

Step 2 – Check the result on your store

Perform a search on your storefront.

If your setup is compatible, search results will now display:

• One product card per variant
• Variant images, prices, and titles
• Only the variants matching your settings
